Thursday Programme
ASPIRE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Aspire S&C is our dedicated strength and conditioning programme, designed to help young footballers develop the physical foundations that support performance on the pitch.
Through age-appropriate coaching focused on speed, agility, coordination, strength and movement, Aspire S&C helps players build the physical confidence needed to enjoy and compete in football.
WHAT IS ASPIRE S&C?
Aspire Strength & Conditioning (Aspire S&C) is a Thursday programme that focuses on the physical development of young footballers. Sessions are designed to improve speed, agility, coordination, strength and movement in a way that is appropriate for each player's age and stage of development.
Rather than focusing solely on ball work, Aspire S&C complements our football coaching by building the physical foundations that help players move better, run faster, change direction more effectively and reduce the risk of injury as they grow.

Physical Development
Supporting overall physical growth and athletic development in a way that is appropriate for each player's age and stage.
WHO IS ASPIRE S&C FOR?
Aspire S&C is for young footballers who want to develop their physical abilities alongside their technical football skills. It is suitable for players of varying ages and abilities, with age groups split appropriately to ensure sessions are safe, relevant and challenging for everyone involved.
- Players looking to improve speed, agility and coordination
- Young footballers wanting to build physical confidence
- Players who want to complement their football coaching with dedicated physical development
- Children who enjoy being active and want to improve their athletic ability
- Players looking to support their overall development in a structured environment
AGE-APPROPRIATE COACHING
Aspire S&C is not adult-style strength training. All sessions are age-appropriate, focusing on fundamental movement, athletic development and safe physical activity that supports growing bodies.
Our coaching approach ensures that exercises and activities are adapted to suit the developmental stage of each player, with age groups split appropriately within sessions.
The focus is on building a strong physical foundation — not heavy lifting or adult-style gym work — so that young players can move, run, jump and compete with confidence.

HOW S&C SUPPORTS FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT
Physical Development Cornerstone
Aspire S&C directly supports the Physical Development cornerstone of Aspire's Four Corners approach. By focusing on speed, agility, coordination, strength and movement, the programme helps players build the physical foundations that underpin all football performance.
Complementing Football Coaching
While our football sessions develop technical, tactical and mental skills, Aspire S&C ensures that players also have the physical capacity to perform at their best. Together, they create a more complete development environment for young footballers.
